Poetry is not limited to the artistic aspect: it is also a tool for formal and informal education. In this sense, the arts and cultural practices provide effective support for lifelong learning. This is why UNESCO encourages and supports artistic education since it strengthens intellectual, emotional and psychological development, shaping generations that are more well-rounded and capable of reinventing the world.

Experts stated that a growing number of pedestrians are glued to their phones, causing casualties in a country whose road fatality and injury rates top the list of developed countries.
Food production practices also have implications for the planet, contributing to climate change and chemical pollution. That includes much unnecessary production, given substantial food waste. Demands for food and particular diets are reliant on a small number of products, squeezing biodiversity and creating fresh vulnerabilities. Natural ecosystems are being converted to cropland and pasture, threatening wild species; nitrogen and phosphorus in cultivation are killing aquatic life.
The ideal of a State under the rule of law calls for well-informed citizens, transparent political decisions, public debates on topics of common interest and a plurality of viewpoints that shapes opinions and undermines official truths and dogmatism. This shaping and informative power mainly falls to the press and the media in general, under all their guises and through various mediums.
