Japan curbs technology exports to S Korea
Japan made good on its threat to curb technology exports to South Korea on Thursday, a move expected to deal a major blow to South Korean manufacturers amid a diplomatic row over wartime labor.
The new restrictions apply to three materials -- fluorinated polyimide, resist and hydrogen fluoride -- used in the manufacturing of semiconductors and display screens for smartphones and TVs.

Companies will now have to apply for individual licenses to export the materials, a process that can take around 90 days. South Korea had previously been exempt from the process, a status it shared with the United States and many European countries.

2020年东京奥运会和残奥会的主要场馆 Shinjuku Ward 的新国家体育场建筑工地于周三向媒体揭幕。
Construction of the main building started in December 2016 and is now about 90 percent completed. The exterior portions are almost entirely finished, and work will now shift to elements inside the stadium, such as turf on the field. The entire project is scheduled to be completed at the end of November this year.
Work on the roof, which is considered the most difficult portion, finished in May, and members of the media were able to view the distinctive, doughnut-like roof that covers the spectators’ seats. There are five colors of seat — known as the earth colors — white, greenish yellow, gray, dark green and dark brown.
屋顶工程被认为是最困难的部分，于今年5月完工，媒体人员可以看到观众席上独特的环形屋顶。 座椅有五种颜色，即大地的颜色: 白色、黄绿色、灰色、深绿色和深褐色。

Taylor Swift’s lawyer denies she was given an opportunity to buy back her masters from Big Machine Label Group, as music industry executive Scott Borchetta claims.
“Scott Borchetta never gave Taylor Swift an opportunity to purchase her masters, or the label, outright with a check in the way he is now apparently doing for others,” Swift’s attorney Donald Passman said.
The public feud began Sunday when Scooter Braun’s company, Ithaca Holdings, announced it will acquire Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group.
